Muscat Gas
Site-to-Site VPN & VMS
Multi-Site Industrial Plants
Completed (July 2024)
Muscat Gas is a cornerstone of Oman’s energy distribution network, operating multiple high-stakes industrial sites. Managing safety and security across geographically dispersed locations requires more than just local recording; it demands a centralized surveillance architecture. For an organization handling volatile energy assets, real-time oversight from a centralized Head Office is a critical operational requirement for both safety compliance and asset protection.
The primary challenge lay in the geographical fragmentation of the sites. Each remote location required a robust industrial CCTV installation, but the data needed to be securely routed back to the corporate headquarters in Muscat for real-time monitoring. This necessitated a complex networking and gateway firewall deployment to ensure that high-bandwidth video streams could travel over the internet without compromising data security or experiencing massive latency.
NexGen Solutions engineered a site-to-site VPN and network configuration that unified all remote camera feeds into a single dashboard at the Muscat Gas Head Office. Our team performed rigorous online configuration and remote access setup, ensuring that authorized personnel could monitor live feeds from any site with sub-second latency.
We deployed enterprise-grade firewalls to encrypt the video data, protecting the industrial network from unauthorized access while maintaining 100% uptime for the security streams.
Successfully completed in July 2024, this centralized system has revolutionized how Muscat Gas manages its facility safety. Security directors now have a "single pane of glass" view of all Omani operations, enabling faster response times to onsite incidents. By leveraging remote access and centralized VMS, NexGen provided a scalable, secure, and highly efficient infrastructure that aligns with modern industrial safety standards.
