Khimji Ramdas / ROP
IP PBX Telephony System
ROP Oman Shooting Range
Completed (December 2024)
High-security military and police training facilities, such as the ROP Oman Shooting Range, require mission-critical communication links. In these environments, telephony is not just a convenience; it is an essential component of range safety and emergency coordination. Collaborating with Khimji Ramdas, NexGen was tasked with modernizing the IP-based communication infrastructure for this sensitive government site.
The facility required a sophisticated IP PBX system capable of handling secure internal routing and external connectivity across a vast, high-interference area. The system had to meet the strict reliability and security standards mandated for Royal Oman Police (ROP) affiliated projects, ensuring that voice data remained encrypted and the system remained operational 24/7/365.
NexGen deployed an enterprise IP-PBX architecture designed for high-availability. Our team handled the end-to-end installation, including SIP trunking and the configuration of hardened IP desk phones and conference units.
We focused on creating a redundant network topology where communication links would remain active even during localized power or network failures, a critical requirement for a live shooting range environment.
Completed in December 2024, the deployment has provided the ROP Oman Shooting Range with a robust, government-standard telephony ecosystem. The new system offers superior voice clarity, advanced call routing, and the high level of security required for national infrastructure. This project reinforces NexGen’s capability to execute specialized technology projects within the Sultanate’s most demanding security sectors.
