Al Araimi Boulevard stands as one of Oman's most iconic retail and leisure destinations. Managing physical security across such a massive architectural footprint requires an elite, highly synchronized surveillance and CCTV infrastructure. For a mega-mall of this scale, continuous video monitoring is essential for crowd management, asset protection, and emergency response. When dealing with hundreds of simultaneous video streams, the underlying IT network must perform flawlessly 24/7.
The facility's existing security ecosystem, comprising a massive deployment of 460 camera nodes, began experiencing critical stability issues. The network was suffering from intermittent dropouts, video latency, and packet loss, which created severe and unacceptable security blind spots. The challenge was not simply to install new cameras, but to perform advanced CCTV troubleshooting and network forensics on a live, heavily trafficked site. The client required a specialized intervention to rescue the failing infrastructure without resorting to a total, costly system replacement.
Currently ongoing, NexGen Solutions has deployed a specialized diagnostic IT team to conduct a forensic audit of the mall's entire security topography. Our approach focuses on stabilizing the network backbone before addressing individual hardware faults.
Our engineers are systematically tracing bandwidth bottlenecks across the local area network (LAN) and re-calibrating the Video Management Software (VMS) to efficiently handle the processing load of 460 concurrent high-definition streams. Simultaneously, our field technicians are physically inspecting, repairing, and re-configuring failing camera nodes across the facility.
By applying enterprise-level IT diagnostics to physical security problems, NexGen is successfully restoring uptime and visibility across the Boulevard's massive footprint. Rather than forcing a "rip and replace" model, our targeted troubleshooting strategy is salvaging the client's original investment, saving significant Capital Expenditure (CapEx). Once fully stabilized, the upgraded network will ensure total compliance with regional security standards and provide the facility management team with a reliable, latency-free monitoring ecosystem.
